All hotels and motels mentioned hereunder are classified as per their official ranking. However, their star rating cannot be compared the western norms. To make things easier for our foreign guests, they are advised to remove a star from the hotel rating and it will give them an idea of its ranking as per the standards used in the West.
Inns and Rest Houses in northern highlands do not fall under this general rule. All such properties (shown with the comfort level of one star) are carefully selected by Gandhara Trails with minimum required standards of hygiene and cleanliness.

Shangrila Pines hotel Nathiagali is one of the very first hotel properties to operate during the British Rule over the sub-continent more than 100 years ago. The Foundation of this site was laid in the year 1878 and it was leased out by a Hindu lawyer. Pines Hotel Nathiagali opened its doors to the public in 1898. It can be reached from bustling Rawalpindi/Islamabad in les than 3 hours drive.

There are 60 centrally heated, combination of suites and double rooms, each fully equipped with a mini bar cable television and a telephone with direct dialing facility. The suites have two channels of their own. The older wing has been totally refurbished and the rooms are more luxurious and comfortable than before. Rooms offer magnificent views and a 24 hour service is available.
